Les escoles de carta són escoles K-12 finançades pels contribuents que són gestionades per empreses privades. A Noruega hi ha 63 escoles de cartages Montessori i 32 Steiner (Waldorf), algunes escoles religioses i 11 escoles no governamentals, com l’Escola Internacional d’Oslo, l’Escola Alemanya Max Tau i l’Escola Francesa Lycée Français, un total de 195 escoles. Totes les escoles charter poden tenir una llista de prioritats d’admissió, però només les escoles amb finançament no governamental poden…
